It is real.

God brings people into our lives in different ways.

Take the blogging community for example.

I don’t care what others say, but real and genuine friendships are formed through blogging and you will never convince me otherwise. Some I've met, some I've emailed consistently with, talked on the phone, texted, skyped, sent cards, mailed gifts, prayed for, and rejoiced with friends I’ve made on here. And my Christmas card list, yeah half of it is made up of blog/twitter friends, ha.

It.Is.Real.

Nothing can replace the face-to-face, day-to-day, contact with those friends we have in our lives but this blogging thing…

It.Is.Real.

Heck, people meet over the internet and get married all the time and so forming friendships via blogging, ummmm not so crazy.

I don’t know if it’s just me but trying to explain to others this blogging thing, so so hard.

Next month I’m going to hop on a plane to Arkansas and go visit some blog/twitter friends. My first thought was how do I tell people without sounding crazy. Little fun fact, I got on a plane back in 2005 to go meet a pen pal that I had ever since elementary school all the way out in CALIFORNIA. I’m sooooo not new at this meeting “strangers” thing. But the thing is, some of y’all, my friends, not strangers to me at all. Sometimes I feel as if you get to know people this way better, if not more, than if there was a face-to-face/day-to-day contact.

It.Is.Real.

I spill my guts out to y’all more than I do sometimes with the people in my life. I don’t know why that is, but that’s just how it rolls. We all share in the highs and lows of life in our own little corner of the blogosphere. I love the people I’ve been able to meet and the relationships I’ve developed that wouldn’t have happened any other way without this blog and via twitter.

Yes, all this comes with some downfalls, but the good far outweighs the bad.

This community is so special and unique and so glad to be a part of it.

It.Is.Real

So so real.

I feel like this should be put on a shirt.

Oh how fun! I'm no stranger to meeting "strangers" either lol. I've done it several times myself. Have fun! Hopefully you and I will get to meet up again one day sweet friend! :)

Absolutely!

It is weird how you can become close with people you've never met face-to-face before, but you absolutely can! And, meeting them in person tends to feel like you've known one another forever.

People who have never done it, don't get it. However, you're right..... It *IS* real.

Oddly enough, though.... as many friends as I've met through the internet, I'm still skeeved out by the whole internet dating thing. I think it's because Blogging/Message Boards aren't places you go to looking to make lifelong friends, you know? You just tend to fall into the friendships. The internet dating thing (while it works for many) feels too forced.

Of course It's Reall!! Ha.. I know what you mean tho. My hubby thinks It's weird when I tell him about my Blogger friends and there issues, etc. They just wouldn't understand!! :)

You'll have so much fun! And I totally agree, you'll have more fun and things to talk about when you meet someone face to face for the first time. Nervous,.., possibly, but with excitement!

Have a blast girl, can't wait to see a post about his! :)

Wow, that is so awesome, I would love to meet some people I have meet through blogs or twitter or random stuff!!! I guess it can be a little scary becuase you just never know but your right.. I tend to spill my guts to random strangers on my blog anyway!!! I guess it's because sometimes it's easier to type then to say things outloud! Also, I think you start to develop a sense of community with the people you share things with!!! How exciting, can't wait to hear about your adventure!
