Cleanliness is next to Godliness!

Where is Mr. Clean when you need him???? Don't you just wish that the bathrooms(most of all) could just stay clean and that you never had to take another mop, brush, or scrubber to it again?? I had to clean our bathroom yesterday and as I'm sitting here typing the phrase "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" comes to mind. Isn't that exactly how it is with us as Christians? Imagine how if we weren't cleaned out daily how rusty our hearts would get, how are thoughts would stray from the truth, and if we didn't take a mop, brush or scrubber to our lives each day, what a mess we would be.

Right now, my car is a mess, my room is a mess (at least the bathroom is clean, ha), and I never let it get like that, and don't know how or why I did. Everything is so discombobulated (my favorite word, don't you just love it?? haha). Go on, just see how many times you can use the word discombobulated today, haha! I know you're probably laughing, but don't you have a word that you just absolutely love? haha! And discombobulated definitely describes me right now, lol! I think God allows our lives to be somewhat of a mess at times, because then it allows our hearts and eyes to be opened up to the fact that he alone truly brings peace, order in our lives, and puts everything back in it's right place.

So if your life is feeling somewhat of a mess right now and chaotic, just know that he hears your prayers for cleanliness :o)

Have a great Superbowl Sunday!!

Great post!
I hate cleaning - ALL cleaning!
And I am going to try to use discombobulated in a sentence at least once today now!

I find that I appreciate cleanliness so much more if it has been REALLY messy prior =)
