God is closest to us when it's the hardest to stand!

Being in the Orlando area you can only imagine how those of us in Central Florida have been glued to the news during the Caylee Anthony case. As I'm sure you probably have heard, her memorial is today. The family and friends of the Anthony family will surely be in my prayers throughout the day. This case has taken it's bizarre turns with each day, but one fact remains, I'm sure there have been days when it's been hard for the Anthony family to stand, and I'm sure they've prayed their share of prayers crying out to God and just asking why. Whatever your opinions are on this case, Casey is probably the one who needs our prayers the most. Who knows what's going through her mind, but I do know that there's a God who loves her, and despite what I may believe, I'll be lifting her up in prayer today as well. We can't always understand or quite grasp what goes on in this world today, but I do know that we have a sovereign God, and though our questions may never be answered while we're here on this earth, but one day we can ask Jesus face to face.

So, will you join me today in praying for the Anthony family as they celebrate the precious life of Caylee Anthony and put her to rest? She has touched so many her short time on earth, and I know she's having fun with Jesus in heaven, but doesn't make it any easier for her family and friends left behind and not any easier with the circumstances surrounding her death.

And may today be a joyous rememberance of Caylee and may family and friends be able to stand a little bit easier.

Lauren,

What a special post! I, as well as you, have to completely put aside my feelings that I have about Casey and pray for her faithfully. I have to be honest and say that it's a very difficult thing for me to do, but I know that it's something I NEED to be doing. So, thank you for writing this post and keeping me accountable!

Have a fabulous day! :)

It is so sad... the whole thing. She was such a beautiful little girl and I can't imagine ANYONE wanting to harm an innocent little child.

They will be in my prayers.

Casey and her entire family are in our prayers today. Thanks for this great reminder of how we are never to judge, and always be forgiving.

Love and Prayers,

praying, praying, praying! I don't hear as much about it here in TN but what I do hear tugs at my heart.

Girl, you are better with words about her mom than I would have been, but so right. My heart aches to think about what that sweet little girl went through. I will never understand how someone can to this to a baby. It's hard not to say bad things about her mom, but I pray Jesus stirs in her heart like never before, because we all know where little Caylee is right now and praise Him for that.

this was such a meaningful post! i honestly watch updates on this story everynight on nancy grace. while most nights i am angered at what possibilities could have happened to that precious child by her own mother, i will pray for casey today. it's hard to believe sometimes, but there isn't anything to big for God to forgive and make new. thank-you for giving a new outlook. -tara
