Stinky morning!

So for the past few days I have smelt this awful smell in my car. I’ve been riding around with my windows down in the hopes that it will just go away.

I won’t even describe in detail what it smelled like, but just know that I was about tempted to drive with my head out the window.

This morning I get in my car to go to work and it was just HORRIBLE!!!!

Then it all came back to me. And something just said, “Lauren, check the trunk.”

So I did.

But let’s rewind to this past weekend when I was empting the trash at my house. We have dumpsters in the community where I live. And so I usually drive the trash to the dumpsters.

So that day I was in the middle of a million things and just put the trash in my trunk and closed the trunk, and thought to myself, I’ll take it to the dumpster in a few minutes. Clearly I was forgetting that I have a one-track mind.

So back to this morning.

I open the trunk…. And what do you know, Yep…. You guessed it. The trash is STILL there smelling as lovely as ever!!!

Y’all, since the weekend I have been driving around with a pile of trash in my trunk!

I didn’t know whether I wanted to laugh or cry.

Laugh because this is only my blonde moment #9743924732947923

Or cry because I finally found the culprit.

And it took 2.5 seconds after I placed the trash in its rightful home, the dumpster, to kick myself because I didn’t get a picture. Because it was funny…. Smelly, but funny! But paint the mental picture, trash in trunk, open trunk, finds said trash and car owner passed out.

Hope your day or car for that matter smells like roses, and not trash leftover from the weekend!!

Off to buy some air freshener in hope that the stench will go away… In the meantime, hanging your head out the window is the next best thing!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Oh boy. That sounds like something this dumb brunette would have done! But I'm glad you found a solution to the smelly car problem. Hopefully it won't smell for very long!

That gives new meaning to junk in the trunk, huh?

I'm glad it was just your trash you found. I was a little afraid of what you were going to say that you found back there. :-)

Totally sounds like something I would do. I'm always forgetting what I'm doing and get distracted. Usually it involves taking out a stinky diaper and forgetting where I sat the diaper down. The smell attracts us in a few days.
