The perfect landing!

Yesterday was a very hard day and a very off day and on Palm Sunday, nonetheless. Isn't that just how the enemy works? I was by myself at home (although at times I do love the quiteness). But I was alone with my thoughts and my heart was just heavy. I had intended and wanted to do things that needed to get done but had NO motivation and the couch and the Lifetime Movie Network were my friends for the day. Talk about the most unproductive day ever.

So here you go, ready for another Lauren analogy?? haha! Can I just say that God is ALWAYS so timely!

I was driving yesterday past a little local airport in town and a plane went right over me about ready to make it's landing. And so here the analogy comes, being the mood I was in, because it was just pitiful, this couldn't have been more timely. I began to see the plane similar to the planes we ride on through this life. Somtimes the ride is smooth, and other times we might make alot of loopty loops that might leave us confused, scared, hopeless, rejected, frustrated and a million other emotions or feelings, and alot of times the ride is not without the bumps and turbulance, and oh, there can be alot of storms which can really make the plane ride unpleasant, but God always promises us a safe landing! He's the captain, he knows the right buttons to push, the course in which to steer, and how to get the wheels down to make that perfect landing. He never promised us a comfortable ride, but told us to take heart, because he's overcome the world, and that guarantees us that perfect landing!

And did I just about want to pull over on the side of the road and just sit there and cry, give out a shout of praise, and then cry some more, ha... you betcha!!

Enjoy the plane ride today... when it's smooth, and even when it's rocky and bumpy, because in the end you have that perfect landing to look forward to. Can I get an amen??

Today I woke up early and worked out (an area which I've been slacking lately, ha) and feeling pretty good :o) And the plus side is this week is a short work week for me!! YAY!!! And hopefully for you too :o)

Have a great Monday!

AMEN! I just found your blog and really love it.
What a great post!! Thanks for that reminder. I absolutely HATE flying but with God as captain it does change things!

I've been feeling a little less-than-great lately too, I'm hoping Easter will be the pick me up I need!

I love analogies. I enjoy reading how others see God in everyday things and experiences and how they can glean understanding from the ordinary. Good post!

This is a great analogy Lauren and something I need to be reminded off.
I completely understand taking a blogging break and I've done 2. It is amazing...life does go on without blogging! :-)
