Yesterday morning the AC in my house stopped working. Every now and then it will do that and you just turn it off for a little while and turn it back on and that usually does the trick.
not.so.much.this.time
It's stuck @ 83 degrees.
I walked in from school last night and it was hot as blazes. I did the 30-day Shred last night. BIG mistake when the AC is not working, ha. So went and took a relatively cold shower.
Then I had to sleep on the couch last night so I could be directly under the living room fan. That helped a little bit but the rest of the house is just flat out hot.
I've learned when you want your circumstance to change, P.R.A.Y.
So I've come up with what you would call the AC Prayer. I literally put my hands on the thermostat and started praying. It goes a little something like this...
Dear Lord,
My AC needs you. It doesn't like to be at 83 degrees which feels like the firey pits of hell and I know where I'm going and would like to be at the comfortable temperature of 75 or so. I know no prayer is too big or too small for you and you care about the little things. So if you would, please heal my AC. I will be grateful. The AC will be grateful. We'll all be grateful. It's not quite ready to go to AC heaven right now, so we are asking for your supernatural touch!
We ask this in your name!
Love,
Lauren & AC
So either A. I will have to call someone to fix it or B. the Lord will hear our prayers! Oh, I stand corrected. It's at 84 degrees!
Lovely!
And lastly, I'll leave you with my dog who is trying to keep hydrated in these unfathomable temps!

Ha! You are so silly Lauren!
I'm sorry!
Great prayer! Hope he answers your prayers SOON! :D
I coulnd't imagine having the a.c go out in Florida.!
While I am, admittedly, very jealous you live in Florida, I guess it has its down sides :) I definitely have such a hard time sleeping if it's too warm.
I hope your AC Prayer is answered soon!
oh no... hoping the AC gets fixed REALLY fast!!
LOL.... I'm so sorry, but this made me laugh out loud.
That is EXACTLY something I would do. I've had the unfortunate experience of having the AC die on me in the middle of the summer, too. NOT ACCEPTABLE in Florida, lol.
My AC and I are praying for you and your AC!!
The good news?.... In about a month, things should start cooling off. I can't wait for that first cool breeze and drop in humidity.
No fun! I hope it gets fixed soon!!!
I know it's not funny, but your post about it IS! I got tickled when you said "hot as blazes", my Mom used to say that all the time when I was a kid.
Oh, you poor, poor girl! I hope you're ac is fixed soon!
Oh no! You poor thing!
Oh my gosh! I would die and so would Ida Claire! You must get a repair man out there STAT! Hope you're staying as cool as possible!
Oh no!! I hope it gets fixed soon! That's no fun:(
i hope it gets fixed ASAP!!
you are too funny!
cute pictures ;)
You make me laugh, although I feel your pain.
My AC went out in 110 degree TX heat last summer, on a holiday weekend, while my hubby was working out of town. I pray yours starts working soon b/c we ended up spending $1000 to replace the unit outside. If you live in a house, make sure & call your insurance to see if they will help you out. Big regret I have that I didn't do that!
XOXO~Rosie
Oh no! Hope you get it fixed soon!
What a bummer! I just had to replace the compressor in my fridge. No fun. You're right, though, nothing's too small for God!
Hope your AC is fixed soon!
you are so cute! i love that second picture of you with the AC!
hope it works!
I cannot LIVE without AC! And you're further south than me! Poor baby. Hope it's fixed now!
Let me know how that works out! ;)
I cannot stand a hot room. Ugh!!! Hope it cools down tonight.
Yikes! That is HOT! I hope your AC fixes itself soon!
Our AC did this earlier this summer--I called my dad and begged him to come take a look at it before I called the repairman to make sure that it wasn't something stupid, and LORD am I glad he did...it turned out that a danged GIANT EARWIG had just crawled in the AC unit and died in such a place that the little connector thingies couldn't connect and make cold air (I know, a very scientific explanation).
Needless to say, I hope your fix is just as simple!
