Honestly, I have had somewhat of a writer’s block this week!
Have no flippin clue what to write about.
I suppose all of us bloggers go through this.
It’s quiet around here and nothing outside of the norm.
No stories to tell.
I got nothing, y’all.
But quiet can be good. It can be a nice change.
Quiet gives you time to think.
In the quietness is when I think God does some of his best work.
Quiet doesn’t mean my life is at this moment in time boring, but just a rare opportunity to reflect, focus, and ponder.
The quiet is what you make of it.
With the weight of the world that can come on our shoulders, the quiet allows us to hand over that weight to the one who is willing to bare it all.
Psalm 131
A song of ascents. Of David.
1 My heart is not proud, LORD,
my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself,
I am like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child I am content.
3 Israel, put your hope in the LORD
both now and forevermore.
In this passage, the psalmist describes God "quieting" his soul--putting his worries to rest and granting him inner peace.
The quiet can be so so good!!

Quiet can definitely be good...so true. I feel like an idiot, but I just realized I'm not following your blog and didn't realize you were the same person on Twitter as you are in blog world. Silly me! Glad I know now, though:) Happy to have "found" your blog again too!
Quiet is so definitely needed sometime. Enjoy it! :)
Love this, Lauren. Thank you! Yes, often GOD speaks clearly through the quiet. Love you!
