Randomness to the millionth degree!

By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

Y'all, Fall is right around the corner! September 22nd to be exact. YAY! There's something about a start of a new month that I love!!

This time of year is when I miss working at Bath & Body Works! There is no better time to work there than the Fall and Christmas time!!!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to babysit my newborn niece for the first time.

She is getting so big and changing so much.

I had my 4 year old niece as well.

For good measure, don't want to leave her out.

My brother had his 10 year high school reunion and he and his wife went so I was on baby duty for a few hours. It was so fun. I also had my brother’s friend’s daughter as well that evening. It went great except at one point during the evening my brother’s friend’s daughter was crying and the baby was crying at the same time. It was at that precise moment that I developed a deeper appreciation for mothers across the country. It was hard work when you have a baby who wanted to be held the whole time and also take care of the other two. But all ended well!!

I recently just got a Crockpot. Do any of you have any simple Crockpot recipes??? I figured with Fall and Winter on the horizon, no better time to ask!

Can I just say how much I love this guy.

Seriously, as cheesy as this may sound, there is nothing like the unconditional love of a pet. Every night when I get home from school he could not be more happier to see me, and if the 100 laps he runs around the house doesn’t prove it, what will? He makes me smile and don’t know what I would do without this furry guy.

Also, I'm really liking the cast of Dancing with the Stars this season.

Granted with my school schedule I don’t get to keep up with it as much as I’d like and for real, one day I’ll get a DVR. But I’ve been reading some of the message boards. I seriously sit back and I’m amazed at the lack of grace shown toward Bristol Palin.

Yes, she’s a single teen Mom. People make mistakes but with that said her son is NO mistake. Some would say that she’s a bad role model and doesn’t deserve to be on there. What are your thoughts?

I personally don’t mind her being on there. I think she has stepped into her role as mother wonderfully and I think she has a platform now and can show you don’t have to be defined by your circumstances and yes being a single teen Mom is not the ideal situation, but does God show her any less grace? Just my opinion. I don’t necessarily think she’ll win, but who knows.

And I strongly believe Betty White should have picked for this cast!!!!! I would have gotten a DVR just for that. She has a sitcom, she has won an Emmy for her hosting on SNL and has a book coming out. This woman cannot be stopped, haha!!!

Want to know blonde moment #98970973247 I had this week. I made spaghetti over the weekend and made enough to have leftovers for the week. So Monday I bring my leftovers to work and go to heat it up. And what did I find? Spaghetti sauce but missing one ingredient, the noodles, LOL!!! I, by mistake, brought the container of leftover sauce (I put it in a similar container as my lunch)... But that didn't stop me from eating my spaghetti sauce lunch. A girls gotta eat!! And I have been living off spaghetti all week!!!! Might turn into a noodle!!

And I can almost guarantee that will not be my last blonde moment!! I am always doing something silly. Take no offense blondes, please...

But I can just see my tombstone now..... Lauren, she was brunette, but lived life as a blonde, ha!

Oh, and I have to thank you so much for you kind words yesterday. So thankful for this blog and for all of you. This is a place to write my thoughts and feelings. So theraputic for me and at the end can make you feel so much better and be reminded that you're not alone. Thank you again!!!

Sorry it seems like I have been such a debbie downer lately. Gotta keep it real and life isn't always sunshine and rainbows!!! It's mixed in with a few storms and clouds as well!!

And on that note, I'll stop my rambling!!!

Happy Hump Day!

I can't wait for Dancing with the Stars to kick back up! :)

An easy crockpot recipe:

roast
jar of pepperoncini peppers

Put your roast in the crockpot and cover it will water. Pour the jar of peppers in the crockpot, as well as salt, pepper, etc. Put on low and cook 6-8 hours. We like to take the roast out, put on french bread and cover with provolone cheese, and melt in the oven. SO good.
I don't even like peppers that much but it makes the meat tangy and good!

Also, kraft.com has a recipe for a crockpot lasagna that is yummy and easy!

You are going to LOVE your crockpot! They are the BEST for weekend dinners!!!

I'm anxious to see how Bristol does on the show... I'm still drooling over Rick Fox though!!!!

Oh - the fun of being an aunt! Babysitting is the best, even in moments of crying spells!

Bless your heart... I just see you with a spoon eating spaghetti sauce! haha!!!

I was excited and was going to watch Dancing with the Stars when I learned the girls... But when I learned that The Situation from Jersey Shore is gong to be on it I vow not to watch until he leaves! He makes me want to poke my eyes out!

I have to catch up on the blogs so I don't know what you meant about being a debbie downer, but this post totally made me smile.

Spaghetti is my FAVE and I always cook enough for lots of leftovers. If you get any good crockpot recipes, please share. I never seem to use mine enough.

About Bristol, I don't have much of an opinion b/c I don't pay a lot of attention to her personal life, but when asked what she thought about being on DWTS, her reply was "Oh, I was just excited to come to Hollywood and have some fun!" Ummm, that made me think she just wants stardom as much as Levi, but who am I to judge? Whatever makes for a better life!

Love the doggie pics and the ones of your neices!

Very exciting that you got to keep that precious baby! I am glad you told us when Fall is. I am going to put my Fall wreath out that day.

Um, I spelled my name wrong today! I completely understand the blonde moments! ;-)

I personally don't lake Bristol Palin. To be honest, can't STAND her mom so that's probably why.

Ha! I had to laugh at your blonde moments! Dogs are just little joy bringers! I wish I had some crock pot recipes, but my two worst meals I have ever made were in a crock pot. (I am sure you will have great luck, though! I think mine is just too big!)
