Change happens whether you like it or not!

I really wasn't even feeling like posting today but I have something to say, so listen up, haha!!! JK! Maybe this might resonate with someone. Yesterday everyone posted about Father's Day and I had written a post and even published it but took it down. I just wasn't feeling it, you know?

Father's Day is always kind of bitter sweet for me. I haven't spent a Father's Day with my real father in years, and so for me, it's like any other day. But then I began to think about it and there has been a father that I've spent every Father's Day with, and if you look up, you'll see him!! :)

I hope everyone's fathers and husbands had a wonderful day!

My sister leaves for college tomorrow, and I saw her packing yesterday, and I started crying and I just thought to myself, this sucks! So much change going on in my life right now!

So lets talk about change for a minute!

As the title to this post says, change happens whether you like it or not. There's bad change and there's good change. And in my case, it's all good change but it's still difficult to manuever through! My sister is going off to college, and my mom will be moving away after she gets married in July. So here I will find myself alone and in the midst of a whole lot of change.

And we were talking last night and I made a statement along the lines of everybody is going through change it seems except for me, and my mom quickly reminded me I'm going through alot of change myself. And then I thought, Oh yeah, I am going through change.

So how do you all deal with change? And I encourage you, if you're going through change right now, try to remember, as I try to keep telling myself this everyday, change is a good thing, almost a necessity, just as a plant needs water, we need change for growth and for a multitude of other reasons!

So tomorrow my post will be dedicated to my sister as she embarks on this new chapter in her life.

Here's to change!!!

Oh, and check out this post of mine if you haven't already! It will give you a good Monday laugh! Lord knows we all need that, right??? :p

And sometime this week I'll post my pictures of my ice skating adventure over the weekend!!

Embrace change and you will feel differently about it!

I personally HATE change - of any sort!!! But, most of the time, you'll find that good cant happen to you UNLESS things change... so you find many news blessings in what you dreaded...

Hang tight friend - God is already ahead of you - in the changes that are ready to come - there for you, your sister & your mom! All will be well!

I know change is usually good but I hate it too! It's just so hard to adjust sometimes!! But just embrace it girl because it's coming whether you want it to or not!! :)

Ice-skating oooh!! Haven't been in years!!

I guess I usually freak out when change happens. Haha. But I think now that I have Christ in my life I will lean on God. And remind myself that I am in His supremely capable hands.

I also try to get excited about the good stuff and not focus too much on the bad -- like redecorating, or maybe your sister could start a "college life" blog and you two could keep in touch that way too!

I don't like change at all myself. I know it happens but I don't deal with it well in any way!
I couldn't imagine being away from my little sister. I'm guessing some day it will happen but while we are living 5 minutes apart I see her as often as I can!
Stay strong, keep thinking positive. Love your posts!

p.s. you are way too cute in the belly dancing video!

Yes, we definitely need to catch up...meaning chat! Honey, I honestly know how you feel about the whole change thing. However, I think you're way more accepting of it than I was when I dealt with a TON! I can explain all that later!

Anyways, just know that I will be praying for you and know that you are such a strong woman and have such strong FAITH, that you will get through this time ~ no matter how hard it may be. :)

Sending BIG hugs your way!

How do I deal with change? Stress out, cry, get crabby. I'm not a good role model, that's for sure. But only with change do we grow and experience life even more. Good luck with it all!

I just found your blog and love it!! I hate change too, but sometimes embracing it and trusting God can give me more than I had ever dreamed for myself. Hang in there :)
