If I could turn back time.

Okay..... Do you have that song stuck in your head now? Ha!

It's November 1st. How is that even possible??? All day I've just been sitting here thinking where did 2011 go?

This time of year always makes me nostalgic. Pretty soon we'll be in the thick of the holiday season. This is the time of year where memories are made. The memories you just want to keep locked up and tucked close to your heart forever.

This is my favorite time of year. The time of year we all look forward to. As soon as it hits December 26th we're already looking forward to the next Christmas.

You know what though, if I could turn back time.... I would take back all the times I wished time away as time just goes was too quickly. I want to enjoy all 365 days of the year and all the memories and sweet moments in between. I would maybe tweet a little less, Facebook a little less, put the phone down a little more, put the laptop away. You get where I'm going with this.

This time of year always draws me back to what's important .....

Faith, Family, Friends, and Health.

This time of year just has a way of bringing you back into focus.

We're given 365 days a year, 24 hours in a day.... What is my time and energy being spent on?

This is just something I've had to sit back and think about.

Truthfully, I look forward to November because Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but Thanksgiving is simple. It's a time of reflection and giving thanks. It's about being with the ones you love. It's looking around the table at your loved ones and you are overcome with such gratitude and thankfulness because you realize in that moment that this, THIS is what it's all about.

I just want to take these next couple of months to live in the moment (as really we always should), but really just want to take this month to just acknowledge something each day that I have to be thankful for.

These people, my family... I don't deserve them but I'm so glad they're mine.

And so THANKFUL!

Awww...love this post and totally agree! Having a little one makes me stop and think about this even more often than before. I don't want to wish away time because Amelia will be off to college before I know it!

You have a beautiful family.

And I wish I had been able to see you while you were here - maybe next time. I know you understand why I wasn't able to be there though. :)

Love ya!

How true. It's hard to enjoy every day the way it is and not worry about the future. But each day has so much beauty within itself and I have to remind myself all the time to enjoy them to the fullest :-)

I love this post! I was just reminding myself that one of my new year's resolutions this year was to be present in every moment and in everything I do. It's easy to wish time away and be distracted and I find that I need to be intentional with my time or else I miss the important things!

And I'm with you...Thanksgiving might be my favorite holiday. There's just something about the simplicity of it that I love!
