Skin care.

I’ll be the first to tell you that I’m HORRIBLE at skin care. I do not have a skin care routine at night. But all that is about to change. I will sleep with my make-up on. I shower in the mornings, and so I’ll take my make-up off in the shower to only reapply again when getting ready for the day. Awful, I know!

I’ve recently had a horrible breakout on my face.

I’m going to get in the habit of taking care of my skin.

My question for you is what skin care regimen has worked the best for you??

Carrie is the new face of Oil of Olay.

If my skin can look like hers, I’m all for it. Ha!

Your input would be appreciated.

Thank you!!!

I have really dry skin, so you may not want my fav products! Before I was pregnant with Cohen, I always used Neutrogena with salicylic acid. Then when I knew I was pregnant, I had to switch and started using Clearasil 3 in 1 scrub, and I think I like it better! I also always take off my makeup with a baby wipe. It really gets it off, even your mascara! I have to use a thick moisturizer at night, like Pond's. :) hope this helps!

I just wash my face everynight before I go to bed with regular dial soap. And then I put on a moisturizer. I have done this for years. I still get some breakouts around that time but nothing major.

My skin tends to be DRY here in Colorado. I use Cera Ve hydrating cleanser and Eucerin moisturizer. I was happy to see that my dermatologist recommends the Cera Ve line. I buy mine at Walmart and it lasts forever!

I'm bad about it too!!! I have only just RECENTLY started using moisturizer! & I'm turning 40! I need it now that I see such bad wrinkles... but wish I would have started it young!

For me - my face is so acne prone - but I just discovered from a company (I blogged about it not too long ago) called Goat Milk Soap & they have a "tea tree oil soap" that I use for my face & I havent had a break out in MONTHS! I'm really amazed at it actually! Especially because my face will break out so badly during that lovely time of the month... not even happening then! Its just a bar of soap - so you can leave by your sink - just rub your hands over it & rub on your face. VIOLA! Check it out...

Just found your blog a few days ago & love it!

I was just telling myself that I need to start & stick to a good skin care regimen. I've used Mary Kay & Clinique before with good results so I think I will go w/ one of those. :)

LOVE Carrie Underwood! I wish I had skin like her too!
My go-to is Proactiv, I've been using it for years and I don't get many breakouts at all. Love it!

I am old school here and love a bar of soap and water. If my face is breaking out or greasy I use Persa Gel 10 by Clean and Clear. The stuff is magic!

I have melasma, so my skin issues aren't the same as yours. I've yet to find something I'd buy again, so I keep trying new ones....

I feel your pain. I have not had good skin my entire life. It stinks! I recently have been using Cetaphil (sp?) in the shower and in the morning (twice a day) and it has worked wonders!!!! It is inexpensive too and you can get it at Target!

Hey Lauren! I have used Mary Kay skin care for a few years now and love it. I am actually a former consultant and I am having a 50 percent off sale on everything including skin care! I'll do a blog post about it soon! But I love it!

I use Murad facial products. They have several different lines for all different skin types. I have really enjoyed using it and I have noticed a big difference in my skin!

Okay so I have been having bad breakouts lately, and I use Olay. It just wasn't working for me.

About a week ago I just wanted to wash my face quickly and picked up a bar of Irish Spring from the closet. My face was cleared up almost instantly, and I haven't looked back. My skin is probably the best it has looked since before I was pregnant. Who knew cheap soap was the key?

I have had trouble with my skin for ages, and I tried product after product after product. A few months ago I just up and quit using products almost completely. I use Philosophy's Purity to wash my face at night, and I don't wash it in the morning. I use either coconut milk (like what you get in a can at the grocery store) or jojoba oil to moisturize, and I rarely have any breakouts anymore. It's absolutely amazing what a difference it made in my skin!
