Need a break in a major way!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I’ve come to the decision that I am going to be taking a break from the blog for the month of March.

I desperately need it.

I VERY much need it.

And to be honest, it’s going to be very hard for me. And I’m ashamed to say probably harder than it ought to be.

I want to loosen my grip from this a little and stop holding on to it so tightly.

I have so many priorities in my life that fall by the wayside because of my focus on this blog and want to get my priorities back on the straight and narrow. This is something I’ve really struggled with ever since I started this blog back in 2008, as I’m sure many of you others have as well.

I was sitting in church by myself last night and really felt the Lord calling me to give this up for awhile. So just wanted to let ya’ll know so you didn’t think I had fallen off the face of the earth, and also to give myself some accountability during this month.

I’ll leave you with this song we sang at church last night. Blessed me to the core.

Lord, as I take this time to sit at your feet and be still, my prayer is that you would open my eyes to those things unseen, do a work in my heart and break it for those things that break yours. Take apart piece by piece those things in my life which need to go. Allow me to sacrifice so that I can draw nearer to you and hear your voice more clearly. Mold and shape me into the woman of God you are calling me to be because all of this is preparation for eternity and how I long for eternity. This life is so tough God and you know that, but your strengths are made perfect in our weakness. Love you for all the simple ways each day that you are showing me who you are, and who I am in you. There’s no greater love than the love you lavish on us, and you in return deserve nothing but my best, and my best is what I will give you.
