The rainbow!

I’ve always been fascinated by rainbows. Love them. Over the weekend I caught a glimpse of one and was able to capture a picture. It was such a beautiful one. It’s always fascinated me as well that they always come after the storm. It’s instead like the calm after the storm, instead of before, ha.

Yesterday I was having a storm of emotions we could say. Just really overwhelmed thinking of the mile long to-do list I need to get done, and especially kind of stressed because I’m going out of town to Vegas for the weekend.

Sometimes I feel like I fail miserably in the area of prioritizing. MAJOR FAIL. Anyone know the key to this? I haven’t quite gotten the handle of time management and categorizing what’s important and what’s not. And really haven’t mastered the art of saying “no”.

And now we’re about to head into the craziness of holiday season where things pick up at warp speed, and now I’m thinking to myself I’m in deep trouble, ha. But the rainbow is full of promises.

And this morning, I was sweetly reminded:

Matthew 11:28- Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

And Lauren, just remember the rainbow…

Isn't it weird that we were in two very different places this weekend, but at the same time saw the same rainbow? I love it....kind of puts everything in perspective in this big, crazy, hectic world, huh? :)

Wish I had some advice for time management, but I don't! I make tons of lists, have a dayplanner, but nothing goes according to plan!

I wish I knew the key to prioritizing! Unfortunately, I fail at it also. Even a planner doesn't help me, Ha!

We just reviewd the story of Noah this past Sunday & rainbows really strike me how that is a SIGN of a convenant with God... shows how his promises are STILL here with us! ALL of his promises - even to take your burdens & help you through them!

Beautiful rainbow!

I love rainbows too but never seem to get a picture.

I used to have the same problem but then started making lists. To actually see what needs to be done and what stands out as important helped me. I didn't use a planner b/c it seemed too complicated. But as women, we tend to look at things in a whole, so the list def. helped!

the only advice i have for time management is making lists. prioritize them with the highest priorities at the top so you know you will get those accomplished. i love making lists and crossing things off. it feels good to accomplish things, i urge you to try it and see others do as well!
beautiful picture of the rainbow hun! :)

Thanks for the reminder and verse...I needed to read that again. I'm already going crazy over the holidays and all that needs to be done. When will I learn!?

What a great post! I read that verse in my devotion the other morning. One of my favorite verses.

Woman you need to LEARN TO SAY NO!!!!! It's ok to do!! People will understand and you always have to make sure you take time to take care of YOU!!

Hope you have a relaxing and fun time in Vegas my dear!
