There's no denying that Carrie has an amazing voice. But I've always gotten the vibe from her that she's very diva-like. I know it's horrible because I'm making a preconceived notion of her without ever having met her. And then I watched an interview this week where Robin Roberts was interviewing her and I saw a softer side to her.
Then there's Taylor. She writes amazing music, but doesn't have the voice that Carrie does. Is it her humbleness that draws people to her? Because that's something I've always noticed. She's very humble. I'm so amazed at the age of 19 how much she has accomplished.
And for her to win Entertainer of the Year last night at the CMA's was an amazing thing, but don't know if she is quite ready for that yet. And personally, I think Carrie should have won Female Vocalist of the year. As much as I love Taylor Swift, I just think some great talent, such as Carrie Underwood, are getting overshadowed. Or maybe not, but what do you think? What do you think it is about Taylor that has skyrocketed her to her success??
It boils down to talent, and lets face it, Carrie has got the vocals!
Has anyone gotten Carrie's new CD? I haven't yet gotten it, but want to. Her song on there called "Temporary Home" is amazing.

I personally love both of them! However, Carrie has a MUCH better voice live. I think Taylor got to where she is because of her humbleness and how down to earth she is. Love them both = )
I love Carrie!! Not every song is about a love story and how her heart got broken... I do like Taylor i just think Carrie is better :-)LOVED her outfit last night during her performance! she looked great!
I really like them both but I LOVE Carrie!! Love her voice, her music, her style, everything!! But Taylor is awesome too! Can't we just love them both the same? :)
I love both of them, but I agree that Carrie should have received Female Vocalist of the Year. Her voice is stunning.
I'm also on the fence about Entertainer of the Year. There is NOTHING like a Kenny Chesney concert.... Keith puts on a phenomenal show, too. BUT, if "entertainer" takes into account videos and social media, then Taylor certainly takes the cake.
100% THRILLED that 'Fearless' won Album of the Year. I have all of the nominated albums and I've listened to TS's more than the rest combined.
And, to make this comment even longer, lol.... Carrie's new CD is awesome!!!!

I also love both of them, but I think loyalty would make me choose Carrie--I've loved her way back since her AI days!

I have to say Taylor! I love the childlike joy that carries in her voice.
I just don't care for Carrie as much.
Well, it's hard. I think Carrie has been a really decorated performer already, so it's not like she's just beenc completely looked over.

Well, you know that I'm a "Country Girl" through and through. I have been a faithful supporter of BOTH. Carrie when she sang her VERY first audition song on Idol (I called that she'd win) and Taylor when she first entered the scene. Now, I wasn't all ga-ga over her at first, but after just ONE concert (where she opened nonetheless) I was HOOKED!
So, in all fairness to both of my girls...I can't exactly say! Carrie has one of the MOST AMAZING voices ever and can belt out ANYTHING and it sounds phenomenal! She is also very personable and sweet ~ IN PERSON! :)
Taylor whom I have never met in person (I know, that totally shocks you) seems incredibly humble. I wholeheartedly believe that she is EXACTLY like that EVERY minute of every day!! She is always so gracious and appreciative of what she has been blessed with and I think that draws a HUGE crowd of followers her way.
So, I'll just keep supporting BOTH and I'll be happy for them no matter what!

I totally agree with you! I love Taylor's humble attitude, but Carrie has a MUCH better voice.
I agree w/everything you said. Taylor slightly annoys me though b/c it seems like she tries too hard during performances to be "cool" and other times she's sweet & innocent. And I think Carrie is just shy-I like her more. She definately is a much better singer.
Well I live in Oklahoma, and remember when Carrie Underwood started out as a teenager singing at the local fairs and festivals so therefore Ive gotta root for my girl Carrie! I go to the same school that Carrie Underwood graduated from a few years ago, and I was shocked to hear some people say that she became snobby once she was in a sorority. Who knows! I still get that vibe from her that shes turned into a diva, and she might have. I read somewhere after she won American Idol and was just on scene that the big reason she acts annoyed or whatever on camera is because she said that she was shy and just didnt like being in front of the camera. Oh well.
I definitely agree that Taylor Swift wasnt ready for Entertainer of the Year. I just cant get over how she beat out George Strait..the KING of country music! lol I really hoping Martina, Reba, or Carrie would win Female Vocalist. I like Taylor Swift dont get me wrong, I just liked her more when she first started. Shes becoming Miley Cyrus..shes everywhere! lol

Ok, I hate to admit this here but I'm not much of a country girl. So I would have to base my pick on dresses. (Completely superficial, I realize, but otherwise it would be "eeny meeny miny moe".) With that said, I absolutely have to go with Taylor. *Love* the dress.

If it's a vocal competition, it's Carrie, hands down. Ever heard Taylor sing live? Awful! Don't know if her voice is tired, nerves, or just tweaked a lot in the recording studio, but she does need vocal lessons to help. I think she won on sympathy because of Kanye and that she's so darned cute and young.

Carrie all the way!!! Taylor just can't sing live. All the live shows I've seen of her on TV just sound horrible!
