To cut or not to cut??

I've been going back and forth whether to cut my hair or not. It seems like I let it grow out to a certain length and then get frustrated with it and chop it off and then the cycle continues all over again. Ya'll, you're not going to believe it but I haven't cut my hair in over like a year and a half.

I know, right?? I know my ends have got to be screaming at me!

I've always wanted to grow my hair out long enough for Locks of Love for cancer patients. But I heard they are charging. I know they have to make their money but something about that just doesn't seem right to me. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

So like I said, been debating whether to cut: (few years ago when my hair was short)

or not to cut: (fairly recently)

What's a girl to do??

Hey Lauren, I just found your blog and this is my first comment! You are too adorable and I LOVE how you share your faith on your blog :)

I like your hair short... I got mine cut a few weeks ago and did sort of an inverted bob where the front is a little longer (well- you can see a pic on my page!) and I think it would look great on you. Haircuts are so much fun!

I think you should leave it long!!! =)

WHAT???? they are CHARGING??? for what???? That sorta makes me a little perturbed!!! anyways... I dont know... you look adorable both ways!!! The short cut really suits you - you have a pretty petite litle face so really suits you... but long hair is classic too - so you wont go wrong either way!

Anxious to see what you do!

Here is a link to their requirements. I skimmed it and can't find anything about a charge.

Pantene also has a program. You may want to check them out as well.

LOL doesn't charge anything for the donation (I think you can actually get a tax deduction for it!). You just need to have 10 inches as your longest layer (pulled straight if curly hair) of unbleached hair. Dyed is fine, just not bleach. The way they get their money is by selling your short layers for manufacturing costs, and selling gray hair. As long as you put your hair in a braid, you can just put it in the mail and send it to them at their headquarters in West Palm Beach!

Hope that helps. :)

I vote cut! :) You look so much younger with long hair! The short cut is very mature & sophisticated. :D Cute!

It looks great both ways but I vote for cut it too!! Not sure about them charging for locks of love but I know when I tried to do it an researched it, you can't do it if you have ever hilighted your hair so I wasn't able to. All that hair went to waste! But I think it's a great program if you can do it!!

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get regular cuts! :) My ends are screaming at me, too! I LOVE long hair!!! My hair is not thick enough to be as long as it is and I still won't cut it. :s I think having long hair is so much easier. You can just throw it in a ponytail or let it dry by itself. You look absolutely adorable both ways. The good thing about getting it cut is that it will always grow back. :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

i had my hair short for a LONG time but decided to grow it out about a year ago. shorter hair, in my opinion, is a bit more time consuming because i had to wake up every morning before class and style it. that got annoying when all i wanted to do was hit the snooze button. it also got greasy faster. however that might be different for you. you look adorable both ways.

as far as locks of love, i have not heard anything about charging but you could also check out pantene beautiful lengths (i think that's what it's called?) it is the exact same program and you actually don't have to cut off as much hair. i believe it's only 8 inches, but you should look into it. good luck deciding!

I think it looks cute either way. I do the exact same thing! I cut it short & then I grow it long, it's weird. I wanted to do mine for locks of love too but my hair is thin & fine and that doesn't work. I recently chopped it off & it is much easier. BTW, I cannot believe locks of love is going to charge! I definitely feel that something is wrong with that. I think they should ask for donations another way :)

If LOL are charging, that's just plain WRONG.
I think your hair is beautiful both long and short. You're one of the few who can pull off either length. ;)

Hi, Lauren. WAYYYYY behind on my blogging lately, but I'm getting caught up tonight. I can't choose between long or short for you, but I think some wispy bangs would be SO cute on you.
